Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

In answer to a nearly non-existent 2024 B.C. grape harvest, Hester Creek Estate Winery sourced the grapes for their “crafted in B.C.” Storied Series 2024 Pinot Noir Rosé from the Columbia Valley American Viticultural Area (AVA). “This AVA and its sub-AVAs were chosen for the proximity and similarities to the South Okanagan with respect to terroir, varietals and viticultural history.”

A stunning rosé, sophisticated and refined, it is a pretty peachy-pink in the glass and fragrant with wild pink roses, mandarin, red berry and Ranier cherry with a hint of minerality playing in the background. On the palate, the wine is dry, medium-bodied, plushy and fresh with ripe red berry, strawberry, rose petals, soft orange zest, spring rain minerality, mouth filling and long with a silky finish. Tasted July 2025.

Produced from 100% Pinot Noir farmed in the Ancient Lakes AVA, grapes were hand-harvested and transported to Hester Creek’s crush pad in temperature-controlled trucks. “Our Winemakers used a combination of whole berry and whole cluster pressing to extract a clean juice.” The wine juice was cold settled for two days, racked and inoculated. “After 20 days of fermentation, the wine was racked and aged for four months in stainless steel tanks prior to bottling.”

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
