A new Summer 2024 Release from Domaine Artema from the Black Sage Bench in Oliver, British Columbia, the Blanc 2023 is a fresh and silky 70% Gewürztraminer, 25% Pinot Blanc and 5% Pinot Gris white wine blend. A portion of the wine (36%) was barrel fermented giving it a silky-smooth roundness. The wine is on dry/off-dry and is enticingly fragrant with summer-kissed white florals, white-fleshed stone fruit, ripe pear and lychee aromas and flavours fresh and easy on the palate. It is a summer white, but it does have the body to carry it through winter to chill and pour with roast chicken, pan-fried trout or a Cobb salad. Tasted September 2024.
