Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Lovely, smooth and, as always, satiny soft on the palate and very approachable now. Mission Hill Estate Reserve Meritage 2021 is dry, medium-plus-bodied and elegant with ripe dark plum, blueberry, cassis, a whiff of smoke, rich on the palate with fine-grained and velvety tannins. Good now or hold to 2028 (under screw cap). Tasted July 2023.

Natalie's Review

Mission Hill Family Estate Reserve Meritage 2021, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia BC V.Q.A., Canada: Mission Hill Family Estate Reserve 2021 Meritage is a full-bodied, sultry smooth and elegant red wine blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot sourced from vineyards on the Black Sage Bench and Osoyoos in British Columbia. Rich and concentrated with layers of ripe blackberry, black currant, dark cherry, fig and smoky spicy notes, it's really delish now but decant it for an hour or two prior to pouring it with a premium cut beef entrecôte. The wine was aged in French and American oak barrels. Drink: 2024-2028. 633628 15.10% XD 750 mL  $32.95 Score: 91/100. September 20, 2024 Top Rated Red Wine. Best Beef Wine  Full Review

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
