Deborah Podurgiel rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Given that drinking habits are changing from wines with alcohol to low or no alcohol, I do get many questions now about how the latter tastes. If they are sweet, have body and how do they de-alcoholize the wines? Do they use chemicals? etc. De-alcoholized wines are a different product entirely from wine with alcohol and are just as complex and tasty but in a different way. Essentially, you need to try them for yourself and if you are celebrating dry or dryish January, it's a perfect time to try them.

Released this week (ships January 31 2024), ONES+ Cabernet Merlot 2022 and Cabernet Sauvignon 2021. I tasted the Cabernet Sauvignon which is produced from 100% Cab Sauv. grapes sourced from southern British Columbia. This Cab is dry, full-bodied with black currant, a hint of raspberry, subtle spicy flavours, savoury on the palate with balanced acidity to match. It’s perfect on its own or paired with barbequed meats and give it a light chill prior to pouring it with chops and steaks from the grill.

I enjoyed half of a bottle on its own (guilt free at .05% abv and 15 calories per regular 125 ml pour) with the balance of the wine, lightly chilled, with a veggie pizza and it was a refreshing match to it as well! Tasted January 2024.

Tyler Harlton and Chris Pagliocchini are the winemakers and producers of ONES+ de-alcoholized wines created from 100% British Columbia wine made from grapes sourced from several wine regions in B.C. To find out more about their wines, contact them at ONES+

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
