Part of my Top 5 rosé from the summer 2023!
Another of my favourite rosé, the Lady Bug from Malivoire, an estate in Beamsville Bench, on the Niagara Peninsula in Ontario (Canada). The nice blend of 60% Cabernet Franc, 20 % Gamay and 20 % Pinot Noir leads to a pleasant explosion of red cherries in the mouth. With the VQA regulated designation (Vintners Quality Alliance). Good to sip by itself or with grilled sea food. 12% alcohol. 5.9 g/L sugar content. Available at the SAQ (SAQ code: 13747891) at $17.70 (UPC code: 00786934767980). Represented by Sélections Le Maitre de Chai Inc.

Natalie's Review

Malivoire Ladybug Rosé 2021, Niagara Peninsula, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: This Niagara rosé is a blend of cabernet franc, gamay and pinot noir grapes. The gravity-flow winery handles the grapes and juice gently. The wine offers aromas of fresh strawberry, clementine, and watermelon. Pair with grilled trout. Drink: 2023-2024. 559088 12.50% D 750 mL  $17.95 Score: 90/100. November 1, 2022 Best Value Rosé Wine. Complete Cheese Pizza Wine  Full Review

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
