Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

From the Thompson Valley designated wine region, a new offering from Harper’s Trail Estate Winery, produced by the winery’s new winemaker, Sébastien Hotte. All I can say is buy it by the case now if you can get it -- there are nine cases left from the 50 produced and the wine was just released over a month ago.

While some do not take Beaujolais Nouveau all that seriously (although quite profitable) this is understandable considering the Gamay grapes were on the vines just a few months prior to the wine being bottled and released. However, this Pinot Noir Nouveau is to be taken seriously. Like Beaujolais Nouveau, Harper’s Trail 2021 Pinot Noir Nouveau underwent carbonic maceration and is perfumed with ripe cherry, strawberries, pink florals, apple peel and a touch of spice. On the palate, this ruby-hued, dry, medium-bodied, PN is enticing, silky and fresh with bright red cherry, ripe red berries, pink florals, apple, subtle dried herbs, and a kiss of pepper spice. The wine is well-rounded with balanced acidity and is definitely too dangerous to be left on its own at a picnic table. Youthful and made to drink now, chill and enjoy it on its own or with a picnic and good friends. Tasted July 2022.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
