Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

I love Cab Franc, but I am in love with this Old Vine 2019 Cabernet Franc from Hester Creek Estate Winery. Dark ruby in the glass and straight off the top, cooked bacon aromas, like frying up bacon and eggs on Sunday morning, then crushed black raspberry, cinnamon, pepper spice with a sneaky dark chocolate finish savoury and smooth on the palate. for the wine note: the wine is dry, medium-plus-bodied with balanced, medium-plus-acidity with medium fine-grained tannins. Really good now, but can easily cellar for another two years. Tasted October 2022.
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The Mission statement of a Hester Creek is “ Passionately offering our guests memorable experiences through quality wines and gracious hospitality.”

Having only drunken their wines I can definitely say they are of exceptional quality! Over 50 years ago, then owner Joe Busnardo planted many vinifera grape varies on his south facing slopes just south of Oliver, BC.

This Cabernet Franc came from one of those “Old Vines”. It’s dry and full bodied (14.5% alc.) and intensely aromatic. Ripe blackberries and spice on the nose with flavours of vanilla, ripe strawberries and red plum. Balanced acidity with smooth integrated tannins. Long fruity finish with a touch of peppery bite at the end.
Pair this beauty with any red meat dish or enjoy sipping on its own!
