Colin McKone rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Pale straw in colour with aromas of lychee, peach, pear and some lemon. It is slightly off-dry , medium bodied with mouth watering acidity. On the palate you get flavours of white grapefruit, green apple and melon. This will pair well with pork and spicy Asian dishes. Tasted on December 5, 2021.
Craig Haynes rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The 2020 Sandhill Sovereign Opal was crafted with hand harvested Sovereign Opal grapes from just one of Sandhill’s vineyards “the Casorso”. The result is a delicious wine. It feels light bodied, off dry with light acidity and it has plenty of fresh stone fruit and citrusy flavours among others.

What I like most about this white wine from British Columbia’s Okanagan Valley are the aromas. The assortment of stone fruit and citrus scents is arrestingly appealing to me because they’re simultaneously fresh and confectionary. Chapeau to the winemaker for this aromatic gift in a glass.

Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Such a pretty wine made from the hybrid varietal called Sovereign Opal. Aromas of white floral, lychee, pear and peach, with a touch of ginger. Medium bodied, smooth and luscious with lovely balancing acidity, vibrant citrus and stone fruit on the palate, and a warm spicy note on a lengthy finish. Enjoy with mildly spiced curries.
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Sandhill Sovereign Opal 2020, harvested in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, offers aromas of green apple, lemon, ginger, salt and passion fruit. Fun fact: the Sovereign Opal is a Canadian made grape that endures our harsh winters. This wine delivers a light body, great acidity and a crisp finish. Palate: grapefruit, passion fruit, lemon, apple blossom and saline. Enjoy!
Melanie Lloyd rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Bright and almost clear with just a hint of yellow in the glass, this white wine is wonderfully aromatic with notes of jasmine, lychee, white peach, banana candy, a touch of musk and mineral notes on the nose.

On the palate, it's easy-drinking and tart with some sweetness and notes of Red Delicious apple, lemon, and slight nougat coming through.

Enjoy with spicy thai.

Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A fragrant and engaging off-dry white wine made from the Sovereign Opal grape. This variety is a hybrid grape that was created to tolerate the chill of BC’s winter. Quite aromatic and fragrant with white florals, lychee and a variety of tropical fruit. Flavours reveal mango, cantaloupe, and lychee with white peach and mouth watering sweet citrus carrying into the medium bodied finish. Easy drinking and enjoyable, a fun find. Try pairing with spicy garlic tofu and Szechuan chicken. Enjoy!
Lynn van der Linde rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is a wonderful aperitif or enjoyed with spicier dishes.
Bursting with aromas of lychee and stone fruit, transforming into a red delicious apple flavour.
Medium body with some residual sweetness on the palate.
Tasted Nov 2021.
