Goldeneye Pinot Noir 2017, Anderson Valley, Mendocino, California, United States: Goldeneye 2017 Pinot Noir is a cool-climate, dry, medium-bodied Anderson Valley Pinot Noir produced by the Duckhorn Wine Company. California has a range of soils and climates that allow this grape to be so expressive of its terroir. For this vintage, grapes were sourced from multiple sites in the Anderson Valley. The wine aged 16 months in French oak barrels (60% new). Look for a full-on fruity nose of ripe raspberry, violets, strawberry and spice. Dry, vibrant and supple on the palate with ripe red berry, earthy violets, orange citrus, cinnamon, anise and mineral flavours, silky and long on the palate.
