Bonny Doon Vineyard Gris de Cigare Vin Gris 2020, Central Coast, California, United States: Bonny Doon Vineyard De Cigare 2020 Vin Gris is an intriguing, tasty and unique wine from the Central Coast of California. Produced from a blend of 71% Grenache, 11% Cinsault, 5% Clairette Blanche, 5% Grenache Blanc, 4% Vermentino and 4% Mourvèdre, this is a pale pink fragrant rosé produced from lightly pressed, mostly red grapes, juicy and spicy on the palate with white and pink florals, ripe red berry, rose hips, plum and spicy, toasty flavours on the palate. Regarding flying Cigares label (or UFOs); In 1954 a village in Châteauneuf-du-Pape wisely adopted an ordinance prohibiting the landing of such spacecraft in local vineyards.
