Rizzi Barbera D'alba 2017, Piedmont D.O.C., Italy: From the Piedmont wine region, Rizzi 2017 Barbera D'alba is a medium-bodied Barbera sourced from vines growing in white marl clay- calcareous and sandy soils. Grapes were hand-harvested and fermented in controlled-temperature stainless-steel tanks and aged in large oak casks, stainless-steel tank and concrete eggs. Vibrant and juicy on the nose with bright cherry, rose petals, plum, anise, cinnamon and ginger spice flavours. Finishes long and creamy on the palate.
