A 100% tempranillo from central Spain’s La Mancha appellation. Full bodied, super dry and featured bushels of ripe dark fruit backed by firm herbal and flinty notes. Velvety tannins and a lush fruit focussed finish capped off this experience. Pour with steak frites. Enjoy.

Alceo Tempranillo 2017, La Mancha D.O., Spain: From La Mancha, Alceo 2017 Tempranillo is a deep dark ruby in the glass, fragrant on the nose, full-bodied and mouth filling with ripe black currant, dark raspberry, dark cherry, wild herb flavours finishing with a smoky kiss. Excellent value under $13. Pour with a meaty lasagne or burgers and ribs from the grill. The wine was fermented in stainless-steel tank and aged up to five months in American oak casks prior to bottling. Produced by the Familia Bastida.
