Ghislain Lalonde rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

FBF, JS91(5), Dark, brooding fruit dominates this Uruguayan tannat from leading producer Garzón, with thick, dense plate, thick and velvety but loaded with tannins; fruit extract is high. Evidently low yielding, concentrated wine, still at least a year or two away from prime - plenty going on here for $24, a perfect BBQ/steak/roast wine if there ever was one - across the Rio Plata in Argentina they'd be drinking this with a classic asado. Tasted October 2024.
Philippe Perreault rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

This red wine is made of Tannat.
The main grape of Madiran and Cahors (South-West France).

This wine has a deep purple color with aromas of plum, black-currant
and sweet spice.

This wine is full-bodied, robust and very long on the palate.

Pair it with roasted game.
Serve it between 15-17 degrees.
Can be aged 10-15 years.
L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Deep, deep purple wine with pronounced aroma of dark plum, black currant, sweet cassis, a potpourri type floral note, and herbs. The wine is dry, full bodied, well balanced and integrated with smooth tannins. In the mouth the taste is primarily black plum. It is very pleasant to drink on its own or it can be paired with blue cheese and toasted walnuts as a starter or with roast lamb flavoured with rosemary, garlic and black pepper.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
