Purple in colour with aromas of plum, black cherry, raspberry and smoke. It is full bodied with medium tannis and well balanced acidity. It has flavours of black cherry and ripe red fruit. This will pair well with grilled red meats, a great companion at your next BBQ and an excellent value wine. Tasted on June 7, 2020.
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Great value Malbec - pairs perfectly with smoked and bbq'd food. Loads of jammy-ripe dark berry, leather, spice and cocoa flavours. Soft and easy-drinking, stock up on this one for the summer!
Pam Hatton rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

The medium purple colour to the core hints at the jammy sweet nose of black fruit, predominantly blackberries and blueberries. The palate reveals a medium bodied dry wine with balanced acidity to cut through the fat of a nice steak. The soft tannins and lots of blueberry and plum on the palate. There are hints of spice and a bit of leather. A slightly hot medium finish. A great value wine that will match with more than the ubiquitous steak. Will go well with meat, fatty fish or vegetables off the bbq.
Lori Kilmartin rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

In Argentina the “Asado” barbecue is a cultural tradition of slowly grilling meat over hot coals. The result is delicious tender smoky flavoured meat.

This Malbec from the Mendoza region is the perfect pairing. Medium bodied with blackberry and plum on the nose and palate. Medium soft tannins and an underlying smoke that enhances the flavours of bbq’d meats.

I paired my bottle with a smoked beef brisket done on my Big Green Egg and a holiday long weekend. It doesn’t get much better than that! Tasted May 16/2020
Melanie Lloyd rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

A visually pleasant Malbec with beautiful ruby reflections. On the nose, it has juicy black cherry, plum, and ripe strawberry aromas along with violet, leather, herbs, cinnamon and a touch of dark cocoa.

On the palate, it is full bodied with flavours of tart plum, ripe cherry, sun soaked strawberry, and a long toasty and slightly bitter finish. The tannins are present yet subtle and well integrated. This wine would pair well with lamb served with mint jelly, or with herbed beef or lamb brochettes.

Tasted May 2020.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A fruit forward Argentinian Malbec from the Mendoza region. Plummy and earthy with a hint of sweet smoke. Notes of blueberries, cherries and blended spices that linger. Easy drinking. Serve slightly chilled for a fun summery barbecue sipper. A great value and sure to please any crowd or wine lover, from beginners to those with a discerning palate. Try with honey garlic wings, pork loin or grilled sausages. Enjoy!
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

An appealing Malbec from the Mendoza region, the Toro Centenario 2019 reveals delicious aromas of black cherry, grape jam, sage, clay pot, baking spice and cedar. Vibrant fruit, well balanced acidity and supple tannins make it a perfect pairing with red meat or pork. Light-bodied with a fruity finish, the wine offers flavors of blueberry, cherry, bay leaf, vanilla and sweet tobacco. Enjoy.
Jane Staples rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

An edgy, robust Malbec from Argentina’s famous Mendoza vineyards. Shows lots of ripe plum and dark raisin fruit along with smoke and a touch of mocha. Grippy tannins. The Malbec varietal is one of my favourite full bodied reds because it’s so flavourful and versatile with food. Great match for grilled lamb, BBQ ribs, burgers or Mesquite potato chips. Keep this one on hand for all those upcoming barbeques! 87 pts. Tasted May 2020
Janet Holden rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

This popular Malbec has dark fruits, ripe plum, cherry and raspberry aromas with a slight aromas of graphite and leather. On the palate, lots of dark fruits, a touch of red licorice and black pepper. Smooth with a medium finish. Overall an excellent value and tasty with steak!
L.J. Palmer rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Deep purple wine with a pronounced aroma of ripe plum, sweet red cherry, strawberry, maraschino cherry and a floral note (violet). A dry medium bodied wine, with short to medium length finish, that has balanced acidity and tannin. Lots of plum. red cherry, and maraschino cherry in the mouth. Very pleasant to drink on its own and will pair well with grilled lamb chops marinated in olive oil and rosemary.
Craig Haynes WSET 3, FWS rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Sweet dark berry fruits dominated the aromas and grippy mid-weight palate of this ruby coloured offering from Mendoza. Mellow tannins marked the fruit-filled finish. Good value and ready to drink now. Enjoy.
