Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

An explosion of fresh fruit and character emanate from the 1865 Selected Vineyards, Carmenere 2018. Made by San Pedro Winery, the wine exposes aromas of blackberry, mission fig, green peppercorn, graphite, vanilla and sandalwood. Chilean by heart and nature, this full-bodied wine will charm you with its supple tannins and delicate acidity. Its long and fruity finish make it a cozy after dinner wine. Palate: cherry, plum, white pepper, slate, caramel and sandalwood. Enjoy!
Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Lots of dark berry notes as well as some bell pepper and a hint of oaky smoke. Full bodied and smooth on the palate, tannins light, and acidity medium+. Fruit on the palate is bright with a bit of that ripe bell pepper and a hint of smoke on the finish. Enjoy with herb-marinated beef kebabs.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
