Matt Steeves rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Carmenere, Chile's signature varietal, as they produce some of the world's finest Carmenere and this super value-priced ($17 at LCBO!) 100% Carmenere from Baron Philippe de Rothschild is a terrific example. Smoky dark fruit, black currant, sauteed peppers, and spice. Super approachable, beautifully balanced, this ultra-smooth red is one I recommend buying by the case and enjoying with chili, stews, and BBQ burgers. Tasted March 2020. 91 points - Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Classic wine from the Maipo Valley in Chille, the Escudo Rojo Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 reveal aromas of strawberry jam, black plum, black pepper, leather, mocha and oak. Full body with a remarkable balance, the wine show elegance and fresh fruit quality. The finish is well layered and lingering, the journey offer flavors of black cherry, raspberry, dried herbs, clay dust, leather, baking spice and oak. Solid wine. Enjoy!
Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Tons of flavour! Aromas of plum, blueberry, sweet bell pepper, and a hint of warm spice. Full bodied and smooth on the palate, with lots of dark berry notes, and a hint of balancing acidity on the finish. Enjoy with marinated grilled kebabs.
