Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The Santa Alicia Anke Winemaker’s Blend Selection 2017, from the Maipo Valley in Chile, reveals aromas of dark cherry, black plum, menthol, green bell pepper, dark chocolate and sandalwood. Made from 55% Carmenere, 30% Petit Verdo and 15% Shiraz, the Anke pleases with its full body, agreable balance and warm coating finish. The palate shows a well integrated layer of fruit such as raspberry and plum, as well as white pepper, leather, caramel and sandalwood. Enjoy!
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A very good introduction of Chilean Carmenere, with some Petit Verdot and Syrah added to the blend. Medium-bodied with dark ripe fruit aromas, like fig, and some spicy notes. A fruit wine throughout the palate, it is well balanced, with medium acidity and slightly higher tannins so decanting is recommended. Pair with all meat dishes, meat appetizers or aged cheeses.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

With 55% Carmenère, 30% Petit Verdot and 15% Syrah this blend has a fresh nose with attractive green pepper and vegetal notes. The palate is also fresh and vibrant with lots of fresh red plum and currant. Medium finish. Serve with BBQ kebabs. Tasted February 2020. www.thewineloverskitchen.com

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
