Trent Mayers rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

In South Africa, Chenin Blanc is known as “Steen”. It's quite aromatic and verges on full bodied with apricot, lemon, waxiness, and vanilla that peaks out from behind the fruit. Same true on the palate with some herb and a longish finish. Good Chenin at a good price point. I’d try this with shrimp or other rich seafood. 3.5+ stars out of 5.

Natalie's Review

Bellingham Homestead Series The Old Orchards Chenin Blanc 2018, Paarl W.O., South Africa: Bellingham's Homestead Series The Old Orchards is a dry, full-bodied Chenin Blanc produced from 25-year-old Paarl bush vines. Vibrant and delicious with ripe red apple, Canary melon and citrus zest flavours on the palate. Delicious now, but can easily hold for another three years. Pair with crab cakes. Drink: 2020-2022. 484055 14% XD 750 mL  $17.95 Score: 93/100. February 26, 2020 Top Rated White Wine. Sensational Shellfish Wine  Full Review

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
