Melanie Lloyd rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Visually, this organic wine is luscious and has a beautifully rich amber colour. On the nose, it has aromas of bruised honey-crisp apple, dried apricot, walnut, orange blossom, marmalade, sweet spice, and hints of honey.

The sweet aromas do not in any way equate to a sweet wine, it is in fact bone-dry. On the palate, it is full bodied with perceivable alcohol and gentle tannins. The flavours are lemon, blood orange, walnut, and a touch of honey. It has bright acidity and a sharp nutty bitter finish.

Tasted February 2020.

Wine-Food Pairing:This wine pairs well with curries. I enjoyed it with butter chicken. Because of the bitter finish, avoid bitter food like cilantro; the sharp flavours will only be enhanced.
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

An Orange wine is a white wine that has had minimal contact with the grape skin so as to stop the colour saturation process. That being said, treat an Orange wine as you would a white, serve chilled and with food pairings that normally go with white wine. This Spanish Orange, Pomelado, is actually a Sauvignon Blanc and has aromas of citrus and orange. Citrus on the palate with high acidity, leading to a nutty finish. Serve with appetizers, poultry or salads.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This Orange wine, made from Sauvignon Blanc, is made like a red wine with skin contact. 'Orange' in this case is more of a medium golden colour. It is showing nutty almond notes on the nose with rich ripe apples tones underneath. Some salinity as well. The palate is dry and tangy, just shy of bitter and reminiscent of a tart, tangy sherry. While not for all, this is one of the better examples of orange wine that I have tasted. If you are a fan or just plain curious about the orange wine rage this is good example at a great price. Pair with tapas. Tasted January 2020. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
