Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Aromas include lots of ripe blackberry jam, black pepper, and a hint of anise. Full bodied and smooth on the palate with some medium+ acidity and a bit of heat from alcohol. Fruit flavours are ripe and jammy with a bit of smoky pepper on the finish. Enjoy with lean game meats.
Jenny Ratcliffe-Wright CWM rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deliciously good value Shiraz from the cooler McLaren Vale region. It's bold and full flavoured with tons of typical black pepper and concentrated blackberry fruit ending in salted licorice. Try with balsamic steak with tomato, halloumi and mint salad @wrightwineblog
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

An extra dry Shiraz from McLaren Vale, full-bodied with dark berries and pepper aromas and on the palate, licorice too. High tannins so decant or age for several more years. Serve with lamb for beef. Tasted January 2020.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
