Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 80/100 with the following review:

A funky red blend from Stellenbosch, South Africa, there's a distinctive barnyard floor, earthy aroma to this wine. Very dry, high acidity and high tannins. Mineral on the palate, with subdued fruit. Vinegar-based marinades on red meat or side dishes of pickled vegetables would stand up to the power of this wine. This wine was very different to my tasting experience and I'm sure there are others who would rate this higher.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This blend includes the familiar Bordeaux grapes but the emphasis is on Cabernet Franc at 59%, Merlot at 30% with the difference split between Cab Sauv and Petit Verdot. The result is a focus on green bell pepper and herbalness. It is still fresh 8 years in. Enjoy this food friendly wine with spaghetti sauce with thyme or savoury dishes. Natalie's Review

Morgenster Lourens River Valley 2011, Stellenbosch W.O., South Africa: Full-bodied and supple, a lush red blend of 37% Merlot with equal parts Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and a splash of Petit Verdot. Look for bright red berry character, flinty, mineral flavours on the palate. Pair with roast pork. Drink: 2019-2024. 709303 14% XD 750 mL  $33.95 Score: 90/100. The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
