This robust Port is showing vanilla, cinnamon and red fruit on the nose and palate. The palate is actually quite spicy and slightly reminiscent of those cinnamon red hot candies. A delightful pour with good tension and great structure. Savour it with an after dinner platter of old cheese, nuts and dried fruits. Tasted Nov 15, 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com

Delaforce Vintage Port 2000, Douro D.O.C., Portugal: Delaforce 2000 is developing beautifully with rich aromas of dried fruit, dark fruit, maple nut and smoke. The vintage port is plushy and lush on the palate with dark berry, cherry, smoky and nutty flavours finishing, vibrant and long with rich tannins. Drink or hold.
