Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Tasty Alentejo red blend consisting of Trincadeira, Aragonez, and Castelao. Ripe to jammy dark fruit bouquet with cocoa and vanilla. Nicely structured with plenty of food friendly acidity. Great value as it so often is with wines of the Iberian Peninsula. Would pair wonderfully with grilled steak or lamb.
Ghislain Lalonde rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This is an excellent value at $14, as Portguese reds often are. It is medium-full bodied, fairly rounded and just a touch sweet, with ripe black fruit nicely set within oak cedar, vanilla and clove. The oak is nicely handled. Some florality as well. I was reminded of California zinfandel, but somehow in a less obvious way. Very good length. Tasted Aug 2019
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This is a harmonious blend of 45% Trincadeira, 35% Aragonez and 20% Alicante Bouschet. Decant for an hour so you can enjoy the dark fruits on the nose and palate. Chalky tannins on the finish. Try it with hearty stews or casseroles. Tasted August 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
