Paula Bernardino rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

I attended a wine tasting event in the office of Sélections Õenõ in Montreal May 7 featuring rosé wines and many other wine options for the summer days, which many were previews that will only be available at the SAQ later in July and August.

I tried the 2016 Avondale Jonty’s Duck Pekin White Organic from South Africa. Floral aroma with a slight acidic taste which comes from the citrus flavours. Includes mainly Chenin Blanc, with some Roussanne, Viognier and Semillon. 13% alcohol. Will be available at the SAQ in August at $17. Currently available at the LCBO at $16.95.

Natalie's Review

Avondale Jonty’S Duck Pekin White Organic 2016, Paarl W.O., South Africa: From the Paarl wine region in South Africa, Avondale's Jonty's Ducks Pekin 2016 is a medium-bodied white blend of mostly Chenin Blanc with the balance made up of Roussanne, Viognier & Semillon. Look for beeswax, lime zest, grapefruit, tropical and stonefruit notes on the palate. Pair it with fresh salads topped with grilled chicken. Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
