Simon Chen rated this wine as 93/100 with the following review:

Tasted @ New Zealand Pure Discovery Walk-around Tasting in Ottawa - The best pinot of the event in my opinion. It has a very complex mid-palate structure with good grip tannin and acidity. It reminds me of Brewer-Cliffton single yard pinots from the Santa Rita Hill region. Definitely a new-world style pinot but very complex and well balanced.
Brent Gushowaty rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The Luna Estate winery has two Martinborough vineyards in the Wairarapa wine-growing region in New Zealand. This wine is from the Eclipse vineyard, a fourteen hectare site on the Martinborough Terrace in silty clay/loam top soil, over deep gravels of ancient, alluvial river terraces.

It begins with rounded, lifted strawberry and blueberry notes. On the palate it is
brighter and lighter than the companion wine from the Bluerock vineyard, likely due in part to some 114 and 115 Dijon clones in the mix. There is also some bright savoury edged cherry and cherry pit, flavours with good balance and some sour cherry in the fiinish. Smooth textured.

A medium-bodied Pinot Noir that has depth. On the nose, cranberry, ripe strawberry, menthol, and sweet tobacco. On the palate, cranberry and tart cherry flavours with a touch of smoke. Tasty! This would pair well with lean red meat.
