Somm4All WSET 3 rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

While the Albarino grape tends to be identified with the Galicia region of Spain and/or the Vinho Verde region of Portugal, however there are notable plantings of this varietal in California as well. The Mettler family has been growing grapes in Lodi since the late 1800’s and remain a hands-on family operation to this day, employing certified organic farming practices. This 2017 Albarino is fresh, dry with a little body to it. Traditional aromas and flavours of peach, floral and lime zest shine through, intertwined with some apple, pear, melon and a little pineapple. The medium finish rounds out with notes of nectarine, a little spice and a touch of minerality. A unique and different white alternative that goes along well with light salty snacks and good backyard fun.
Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

From the Mokelume River sub-appellation in the heart of Lodi, this California expression of Spain's most popular white grape brings lots of tropical fruit and candied apple notes to the party in your mouth. Not as lively as a Spanish or Portuguese Albariño, it has a round, rich mouth feel. Nice long finish. Very versatile- it would make a great white sangria base or serve with chicken or white fish. Tasted April 2019.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
