Walking a beautiful line between fresh and floral while also having depth and complexity, Hahn S.L.H. 2017 Pinot Noir is a beautiful example of this AVA. Deep ruby in colour, it has ripe red fruit (cherry and raspberry), spice (paprika and pepper), forest floor, mushroom, cedar and brioche on the nose and palate. Round, with well-integrated acidity, smooth tannins,
Would pair beautifully with a ‘Sunday Roast’, grilled mushrooms or smoky carbonara.

Aromas of plum, violet, cedar, herbal notes, with hints of cinnamon. On the palate, it is medium-bodied with smooth tannins and tart plum, blackberry and field cherry flavours with subtle notes of vanilla. Very nice! Pair with grilled Portobello mushrooms or with an herbed roast.
Tasted at the California Wine Fair in Ottawa April 2019.

Pale with a ruby rim, the slightly shy bouquet is a mix of pomegranate molasses, boysenberry, lilac and other floral notes. The flavour follows through closely as on the nose with the savoury fruit mostly mid-palate. Well balanced and fairly long, delicate and delightful. B- to B ~ 91
