A cool, western region inland from Margaret River, Frankland River region is one to watch from riesling in particular.
Red varieties are also grown here such as cabernet and merlot and this Bordelaise blend from Ferngrove is an
example of some of the value that can be found here.
Old world on the nose but more new world on the palate, this lightly dusty nose is also brimming with eucalyptus,
plum, black cherry and bay leaf.
Herbal and fruity with a widely appealing nature. Tasted March 2019.

Delightful nose, a balance of fresh and jammy fruit notes, especially blackberry but also cassis and plum. Moderate tannins, smooth with grip, paired beautifully with fresh acid and a full body. French oak barrel influence subtle and pleasant, adding some espresso and dark chocolate. Perhaps a hint of eucalyptus in the mix? Highly enjoyable with pleasant value. Serve alongside braised lamb shoulder.
