Courtney Flood rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Cab sauvignon, cab franc and merlot hand-picked from vines restricted to a very low yield which allows the grapes to develop fully in the shorter Ontario season, and it's reflected in the concentrated ripeness of the fruit in this wine. Tons of juicy cherry, raspberry, and blackberry with some soft vanilla note and a touch of spicy nutmeg, and enough tannin left to allow another 2-5 years of aging. Pair with grilled vegetables, caramelized onion, or pork.
Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Beautiful! Cabernet-Merlot aged 20 months in French oak. Aromas of blueberry, blackberry, graphite, smoke and spice. Full bodied with some young tannins that smooth out with some decanting. Lovely balance of spice, smoke, and ripe fruit with a long finish. Perfect for your next steak night or would also pair nicely with a robust mushroom dish.

Natalie's Review

Henry of Pelham Speck Family Reserve Cabernet Merlot 2016, Short Hills Bench, Niagara Escarpment, Ontario V.Q.A., Canada: A gorgeous, succulent Cabernet-Merlot blend is about a 50/50 split, with a splash of Cabernet Franc. The grapes are hand-picked from the oldest Speck Family Estate vineyards, with low-yielding vines, which concentrated the flavours. The wine was aged 20 months in French oak barrels. Aromas of blackberry, spice and smoke. Pair with grilled meats. Drink: 2018-2025. 616433 14% D 750 mL  $44.95 Score: 92/100. September 9, 2022 Top Rated Red Wine. Best Beef Wine  Full Review

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
