Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Everything is in balance with this lovely wine. Butter and popcorn on the nose. The oak is nicely integrated so as not to overpower the nose or palate. Medium weight and clean with a lingering, textured finish. This is great value in the $20 range. Pair with chicken or cheeses or ... popcorn! Tasted April 2019.
Matt Steeves rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Tom Gore produces fantastic Chardonnay from coastal vineyards in the Golden State, California. Golden in colour and quality, this oaked Chardonnay shines bright with ripe tropical and tree fruits, with vanilla and toasty notes adding depth, complexity, and texture to this value priced gem. An outstanding Chardonnay for under $20, one that’s fantastic on its own or when paired with a wide range of dishes from grilled salmon, roasted poultry, BBQ fare, and autumn soups.Tasted February 2019. 89 points. Natalie's Review

Tom Gore Chardonnay 2016, California, United States: Wine grapes for Tom Gore's 2016 California Chard were sourced from Central Coast and North Coast vineyards. Fantastic value under $20, this dry white wine is floral on the nose with ripe pear, soft tropical fruits, pineapple, vanilla and sweet spice flavours on the palate. Tom Gore is a second-generation grape farmer from Sonoma County whose passion for wine-growing led him to create his own wines. Chill and enjoy now with a roast chicken. There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
