Grind your own burger wine alert. Malbec with juiciness, high acidity and some grip will do wonders alongside fresh chuck, simple seasoning and smoky cheddar. Put on the snow boots, fire up the grill and pour a glass. Post holiday heaven, spicy finish. Drink 2018-2020. Tasted December 2018.MBF, JS87(2.5), MG88
Jane Staples rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Flavourful, full-bodied plummy Malbec with notes of mocha. Pair with pork chops and grilled veg's. Great value.

Natalie's Review

Susana Balbo Críos Malbec 2017, Mendoza, Argentina: From the Mendoza wine region Dominio del Plata Susana Balbo Crios 2017 is a full-bodied 100% Malbec. The wine was fermented in stainless steel tank and a portion was also matured in neutral French oak barrels for nine months. "Crios" on the label means offspring. The label features a series of three connected and overlapping hands, an image inspired by a Mayan artifact. The three hands represent Susana and her two children. Enjoy now and for the next three years. Tasty and full-bodied Argentine red wine with black fruit and toasty smoke aromas. Supple and smooth. Drink: 2018-2024. 538784 14% XD 750 mL  $15.95 Score: 90/100. January 5, 2019 Best Value Red Wine. Voluptuous Veal Wine  Full Review

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
