Loved tasting this cool climate Sauvignon blanc. Gooseberry notes, with lime zest, rare fresh asparagus tips. Tasted 2017 vintage in October 2018. 90 points.

Stylish Sauvignon Blanc from the Leyda Valley - compare this one to the Tarapaca of the same area, vintage and price-point - this is a little lighter on the palate, with grassy and lemon-grapefruit flavours and a hint of banana or tropical fruit (yeast influence?) Piquant and fresh, it will go well with scallops, white fish, goat cheese, salads. Oct 2018

From the Leyda Valley, Chile, the 1865 Selected Vineyards 2017 100% Sauvignon Blanc was harvested by hand at the Vinas San Pedro Vineyard, which is owned by 1865 Vineyards. This wine reveals aromas of lemon, passion fruit, apple blossom, asparagus and salt. On the palate, lemon, orange peel, apple blossom and green herbs. Medium body with a crisp finish, will pair well with salmon or salad with bleu cheese dressing. Enjoy. Tasted at Chateau Laurier winemakers from Vina San Pedro’s properties 1865 Single Vineyards October 2018.

Lovely Sauvignon blanc from the Leyda Valley. Fresh and vibrant, from a warm vintage, with a fresh green herbaceous notes, combined with ripe fruit including white peach, lime and grapefruit. Lovely balance of fruit and acidity on the palate and a medium+ finish. Enjoy with any seafood dish.

A 100% Sauvignon Blanc from Chile's Leyda Valley. 2017 was a very warm vintage, influenced by El Nino. The grapes ripened and were hand-harvested earlier than usual. This Sauv Blanc shows grassy and asparagus notes on nose and palate, along with passion fruit and grapefruit. Crisp and balanced, with excellent acidity. Super match for oysters, king crab, salmon or tuna tartare or fresh seafood.
Tasted Oct. 2018 with the winemaker, Matias Cruzat.
Melanie Lloyd rated this wine as

From the Leyda Valley, this 2017 Sauvignon Blanc is pale yellow in colour and has peach and orchard fruit on the nose followed by herbal notes, lime, tropical fruit, with hints of minerality and almond. It is medium bodied on the palate with good acidity and crisp lime, peach, and herbal flavours followed by a lingering finish.
Wine-Food Pairing: Seafood.
Tasted October 2018 at the Vina San Pedro wine tasting event.

A bright Sauvignon Blanc from Chile’s Vina San Pedro 1865 El Granito vineyard in Leyda Valley. From a coastal climate - bright and fresh with citrus, green apple, dried grass and stony rocky minerality. Buoyant flavours feature tropical fruit, splashes of green mango, kiwi rinds and fresh herbs. Sweet green fruits and soft veggie characteristics with a fresh, flinty, white pepper finish. Mouthwateringly marvellous - try with grilled oily fish and herbed cheeses. 88 points - tasted at San Pedro 1865 tasting with winemaker Matias Cruzat
