Torres Cos Perpetual 2015, Priorat D.O.C.A., Spain: Torres Cos Perpetual 2015 is made from old-vine Grenache and Cariñena grown in licorella slate soils. The wine juice was fermented in stainless steel, with malolactic conversion and matured for 18 months in new French oak barrels. Although quite oaky just now, it has the body and abundance of blackberry, cherry fruit flavours to carry it through. Nice mocha and espresso flavours showing through from oak ageing. Bottled in 2017, this robust Priorat red can definitely benefit from a few years cellar time to show its best. Drink: 2018-2027. 265710 15.40% XD 750 mL $61.35 Score: 92/100.
