About five or six years ago I had my first whiff of Francis‘ golden thread Claret. It simply popped … such a fine wine. I’ve favored it from the first.
“I love a whiff of Claret in the evening!”

Natalie's Review

Francis Ford Coppola Diamond Collection Black Label Claret 2016, California, United States: The Diamond Collection Black Label 2016, from Francis Ford Coppola is a very quaffable Cabernet from the Sonoma Valley. "Claret" was a term originally used to identify the wines of Bordeaux. The 2016 vintage is 75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Petit Verdot, 4% Petit Sirah. The wine was aged 14 months in French oak barrel and is ripe and intense black cherry, black currant and oaky flavours on the palate. Drink: 2018-2022. 479055 13.50% D 750 mL  $29.95 Score: 90/100. Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
