Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Lighter in style but still lots of flavour. Aromas of cherry, plum, leather and warm spice. Medium bodied, with bright acidity, and some young tannins. More tart fruit on the palate and some leather and slightly spicy hints on the finish. Enjoy with a rich beef or mushroom amd lentil stew.
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

During a recent trip to Bordeaux region, I was fortunate to have spent a week in the Blaye region, which produces great quality wine. Blaye is located on the northern part of the Right Bank of the Gironde river. Chateau Loumelat 2015 from Blaye Cotes de Bordeaux is a perfect example of the style produced from the Blaye terroir. Made in limited volume and assembled with 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine shows aromas of blackberry, ripe strawberry, jasmin, thyme, black tea, liquorice and oak. Light bodied with a medium finish, Chateau Loumelat reveals gentle notes of blackberry, hay, coffee and a hint of oak. This balanced wine will charm the amateur of easy drinking wine from the Blaye region AOC. Enjoy.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
