Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Located in Cotes de Bourg, on the Right Bank, Chateau Timberlay is a winner of numerous prizes and is recommended by wine critics and wine magazines. Chateau Timberlay offers inviting aromas of dark skin plum, rose, bay leaf, liquorice and oak. The 2014 vintage is made from 85% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc. Well balanced, this wine reveals ripe plum, tobacco, vanilla and oak. Medium bodied with a medium finish, Chateau Timberlay 2014 is a food friendly wine. Pair with pork or cheese. Enjoy.
Sharon Lécuyer rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

Menthol, cedar and cherry on the nose with lots of red fruit and spice on the palette. A bit sharp tannins and a short finish.

Definitely pair this one with food, especially red meats.

David Skinner rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Dark Ruby with a slight garnet rim. The nose is complex driven by combination of oak, cherry and pleasant floral hints. The fruit takes a back seat to the barrel on the palate. Some dark fruit with plenty of firm tannins and toasted notes. The acidity and tannins are in balance and the finish is medium with a oak-driven character. Best with food.
Cherie Cole rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

This Bordeaux red expresses fruit and spice on the nose, but falls a little flat on the palate, perhaps due to its high acidity. Tasted July 15, 2018.
Luc Delorme rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This great value Bordeaux starts with cranberry and blackberry on the nose. Smooth secondary flavours of spice and leather come through on the palate to accompany the slightly candied fruit, a testament to the well-executed oak treatment by the winemaker. The wine is 85% merlot, so the fruitier profile is to be expected.

With solid acidity and lively flavours, this wine would work will with rich sauces like a rosé pasta dish. Excellent value.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Lots of red fruit aroma on the nose with ripe cherry, spice and oak flavors coming through on the palate. Medium bodied with a soft tannin finish. Tasted July 2018.
Simon Chen rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

The wine offers a nice eucalyptus black fruits aromas. The body is on the lighter side and doesn't have enough fruits to balance the acidity. It's a good food-pairing wine, will go nicely with more richer/meaty dishes to balance off the acid.
