Beautiful ruby red, chalky mouthfeel, full bodied, concentrated depth of flavours, medium-plus acidity. Layered and complex. Pairs well with a rare steak. Tasted 2015 vintage in July 2018. 93 points

Chapoutier does it again! This is a syrah, grenache, cinsault and carignan blend from the deep south of France near the Spanish border. It has quite complex nose of smoked meat, pepper, thyme, licorice and wild brambleberry fruit. It is full bodied, dense, warm and rich. Very classy and well structured. The length is excellent. Best now to 2023. Tasted June 2018

M. Chapoutier Bila-Haut Occultum Lapidem 2015, CĂ´tes Du Roussillon-Villages Latour De France, Roussillon A.C., France: This Cotes du Roussillon Villages Latour de France Occultum Lapidem sources grapes grown on vines planted in schist soils close to the village of Latour de France. It's a red wine blend of mostly Syrah and Grenache along with some Carignan grapes. The wine was matured in concrete tanks. Produced by M. Chapoutier, this is benchmark Rhone Valley red wine from a spectacular vintage. Black fruit, smoke, tar and black pepper. Full-bodied, balanced, concentrated with great depth. An incredible wine for this price point. Pair with filet mignon. Drink: 2018-2024. 643239 14% XD 750 mL  $26.95 Score: 95/100. June 9, 2018 Top Rated Red Wine. Best Beef Wine  Full Review

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
