Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Amazing value and tons of flavour. Aromas of plum, black cherry and cassis with a hint of smoke and some dried herbaceous notes. Full bodied and smooth on the palate, with plush plum and raisin flavours on the palate, drying tannins, with graphite and mineral notes on the finish. Enjoy with marinated beef kebabs.
Lucas rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Had a taste at xmas 2018. Thought it was great. Lots of dark fruit. Get again

Natalie's Review

San Pedro 1865 Selected Vineyards Carmenère 2016, Maule Valley D.O., Chile: Another stellar vintage for this single vineyard Carmenère rocks! Carmenère is the flagship red wine of Chile. Loving the layers of fleshy black plums. Lots of concentration and length. Velvet texture on the palate. The wines from San Pedro's 1865 line come from its own vineyard planted with a specific variety. The Carmenère comes from the winery's property in the Maule Valley, with rolling hillside vineyards averaging 20 years of age and planted in alluvial soil with angular stones to control plant vigour. This robust red wine finishes with notes of cassis and dried tobacco. Great balance and depth. Try it with a rack of lamb tonight. Highly recommended.
