Filled with intense ripe red fruit aromas accented by herb and smoke. Dry with good acid and medium tannins. Offers wide appeal to red wine drinkers and will be complementary to a wide array of foods, especially pork and beef roasts or grilled vegetables.

Awesome value at $16.95 in the LCBO. Aromas of raspberry, black pepper and smoke. Full bodied with some tart fruit on the palate and a more spicy finish. Enjoy with lentil or beef stew.

So pure, gorgeously toned, with ripe briar fruit, kirsch, and a hint of herb. Great for grilled meats. Serve by the gallon on the back patio. 91 Points.

Tasted June 10, 2018. Colour dark ruby red. Legs are thick. Aromas and flavours of red fruit, red plum, red cherry, vanilla, spice, supported by a dipped in unsweetened chocolate. Taste dry, full bodied, pleasing tannin, mouthwatering, balanced alcohol. Fruity chocolate and spice finish. I like this wine. Great value. Easy to drink a perfect match to my grilled strip loin . Highly recommend.

I like this wine a lot. On the nose, it smells smoky and forest floor. Bright fruit, velvety texture on the mid palate. Good tannin, a bit astringent aftertaste but should go away if let it open up for few hours. Very pleasant wine to go with grill meats or exotic meats.

Presentation: The classic Gerard Bertrand look, easily recognizable
Appearance: Medium ruby
Nose: Light-Medium nose with notes of dark cherries, cigar, mocha, white pepper with a hint of green
Taste: Dry, medium body, medium-high acidity, medium, dirty tannins, with notes of cranberries, blackberries, blueberries, earth, leather, pepper, graphite
Finish: long, fruit and dirt finish
Overall impression: at the beginning, the alcohol is noticeable in the mouth, though it decreases over time. This is a summer, BBQ wine to us. Think sausages and hamburgers.
