L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Beginning at the beginning; this is a favourite wine from class and when I went back to it I said"blackberry personified; fresh and juicy blackberry!". There is more to it than blackberry; this deep ruby coloured wine has a pronounced aroma of blackberry, with raspberry, a meaty/savory note, black pepper, plum, rose/floral and spice. In the mouth there is more fresh and juicy blackberry and raspberry; the floral taste comes through as does the black pepper, raspberry and spice. The wine is full bodied and smooth, pleasantly acidic. It will pair well with grilled meat or can be drunk on its own.
Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Tres Picos Garnacha 2016, or Grenache in French, is from Borja, in the Northwest of the province of Zaragoza, considered to be a sub-unit with its own characteristics within the region of Moncayo, in Spain. Bodegas Borsao is a well renown winery and winner of numerous prizes for their quality and wine making. This 2016 Garnacha reveals dense aromas of roasted plum, raspberry sauce, lavender, leather and pie crust. Full bodied and well balanced, Tres Picos Garnacha 2016 provides an excellent and well made wine at a very attractive price. Pleasant long finish, Tres Picos pleases with notes of prune, blackberry, black pepper, clay pot and chocolate. On its own or with red meat, Tres Picos Garnacha 2016 will satisfy any full bodied wine lover. Enjoy!

Natalie's Review

Borsao Tres Picos Garnacha 2016, Campo De Borja D.O., Spain: Borsao Tres Picos is a full-bodied 100% Grenache red from the Campo de Borja wine region located in south Rioja. Lots of mocha and dark chocolate aromas on the nose that are then flooded with lusciously ripe black fruit on the palate. Full-bodied and smooth. The 2016 vintage is great value under $20. This winery is comprised of 100% Garnacha grapes. The grapes for this wine grow on old vines, which provides additional concentration and flavour. Great structure. A rich darkly hued colour in the glass. A long, satisfying finish. Pair with grilled steak. Drink: 2018-2025. 273748 15% XD 750 mL  $19.95 Score: 91/100.
