Greg Hughes rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

An excellent style benchmark for B.C. Pinot Noir. Ann Sperling is a talented winemaker.
She has projects in Niagara, Okanagan, and Mendoza, Argentina (Versado).
Medium bodied. Moderately pale, but a dark core.
Nice, long ripening season means this pinot has some great cherry and black currant. Some smoke, from the heavy oak regimen.
Flavours of orange oil, cherry, vanilla, anise, and smoke. Racy and spicey. The fruit tale a backseat, until it gets some air-time.
Put this wine with some capicollo and pomegranate on a nice charcuterie platter. Something small, because Pinots (like this) are always interesting enough to be the main course.

Natalie's Review

Sperling Vineyards Pinot Noir 2015, Okanagan Valley, British Columbia V.Q.A., Canada: A lovely, rich BC Pinot Noir made from clones 114 and 777. It's rich and medium-bodied with polished tannins and a smooth mouth-feel. Aromas of dark cherry. The grapes were hand-harvested and fermented in small lots from vines planted in limestone soils. Large barrels were selected to ensure delicacy and no heavy oak flavours on the wine. Pair with roast chicken. Drink: 2018-2022. 382283 12.50% XD 750 mL  $28.95. March 1, 2018  Full Review

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a fiesty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
