Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted July 14, 2018. Colour dark dense red. Legs medium. Aromas and flavours of, cedar, chocolate covered raisins, black currant, blackberry, blueberry. Taste dry, medium body, dark plum fruit, mouthwatering, soft tannin, chocolate, balanced flavour. Finish medium. We had a large Canadian Pizza from Davenport Pizza and the pairing was great. The mozzarella cheese and bacon pepperoni with wine made the pizza taste better. This wine cost more than the pizza but for a special night was worth it.
Rebecca Meir-Liebman rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The Allegrini family has been making wines in Italy since the 16th century. This one is bursting with delicious red fruit – from strawberries to red cherries – with the richness of mocha, chocolate, and vanilla. It’s a full-bodied wine with rather low acidity, and medium- to low- tannins. Round mouthfeel, fruity, simple, and pleasant, it pairs well with roasted Cornish hen and pasta dishes.

Natalie's Review

Allegrini Palazzo Della Torre 2014, Veneto I.G.T., Italy: Sweet chocolate flavours on the palate from generous oak aging. Aromas of coffee and espresso on the nose, with black fruit and smoke on the palate of this robust Italian red. Smooth and mouth-filling with black fruit and smoke on a long finish. Decant 2 hours and enjoy with meat lovers' pizza. Drink: 2017-2020. 672931 13.50% XD 750 mL  $24.95 Score: 89/100. November 24, 2018 Magnificent Meat Pizza Wine  Full Review

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
