Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

I have always liked Rymill as a producer. The Yearling is a delightful, classic mentholated Cab featuring red and black fruit, linzer, plum skin, and cigar tobacco. 90 points.
Matt Steeves rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

From the renowned Coonawarra wine region in South Australia, The Yearling Cabernet Sauvignon shows remarkable maturity and complexity on the nose with plum, mulberry, pepper, eucalyptus, leather and grilled brisket. The palate is dry with black cherry and fine grained dark chocolate persisting on the finish. Impressive structure that will complement grilled BBQ fare, especially steaks and gourmet burgers. Tasted April 2018. 88 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Actually, very interesting. This is a famed territory in Australian wine. It is prized for its unique topography (terra rosa) and lots of wild eucalyptus (which promotes 1.8 cineole; making wine fresh and minty).
Beautiful and concentrated colour. Nice ruby, woth a dark core.
The aromas are intensely minty and fresh. Good cassis and berry aromas, in general. Cab typicity.
The flavpurs have a snappy acidity which goves it a medium body, but also makes it extremely drinkable. It is invigorating and delicious.
Australian wines have some pretty diverse terroirs, but this is a great price for one of their most sought after. Stock up for bbq season!
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A big and bustling bouquet of dark plums, black cherries, earthy woodiness and dried bay leaves. Flavours reflect much of the same with dried fruit - prunes and stony minerals. A full, velvety body, robust tannins and finish. This would pair nicely with Barbecued fare, back ribs and burgers. - Tasted March 11th 2018.
Colette Martin reviewed this wine as follows:

Concentrated ruby color
Aroma of dark fruit and green peppercorn, smoke and spice
On the palate the dark fruit repeats with sour cherries and pepper
High acidity is balanced with tannins, extra dry
Medium long finish of dark berries and smoke.
Jennifer Havers rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Aromas of dark fruit, a bit of smoke, black pepper and dried herbs. Fruit and pepper mingle nicely on the palate. Balanced, with some nice acidity. Enjoy with pasta and meat sauce.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Dark berry, vanilla and spice notes with pronounced dried fruit and herb on the palate. Fruit dominated finish with soft tannins. Tasted March 2018
