This is a quite pale, bright ruby shaded Chianti. The nose is nicely lifted with some leather, smoky oak atop ripe currant/raspberry fruit. It is light to mid weight, charming and fresh with fine acidity and tannin. I like the character here, with generous flavours on a leaner, authentic Tuscan frame. Tasted March 2018
Lynn van der Linde rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Made from mainly Sangiovese grapes from Tuscany in traditional Chianti style, this is one elegant pour. Aromas of spicy red berries and hints of leather carry through on the palate with a peppery finish.
Perfect with sausage dishes or pizza.
Tasted January 2018.
Melanie Lloyd rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This wine has loads of tart cherry aromas as well as red berries, sweet spice, and earthy qualities such as red beets and autumn leaves. The tannins are fairly structured and well integrated with the vibrant acidity. In terms of flavours, there is tart cherries and black plums with velvety cocoa at the finish.

This wine would pair well with medium or medium-rare grilled red meat.

Natalie's Review

San Felice Chianti Classico 2015, Tuscany D.O.C.G., Italy: A luscious, medium-bodied superbly balanced Italian red wine. This moderately priced, pleasant Chianti is perfect for Italian fare. Very attractive smoke and toasty oak on the nose. Black cherry, spice aromas, with good acidity in this almost full-bodied red wine. Polished tannins. Made from the traditional Sangiovese grape and other native varieties, this full-bodied Italian red wine has smooth tannins. The 2013 vintage of the Chianti Classico San Felice is mostly of Sangiovese grapes with some Colorino and Pugnitello grapes. Pugnitello almost became non-existent until this winery started using it in this popular blend. Pair with grilled meats. Drink: 2017-2023. 282996 13% D 750 mL  $19.95 Score: 90/100.
