Greg Hughes rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This is one of Concha Y Toro's finest wines. It comes from a small sub-appellation within the Maipo area, Puente Alto. This blend contains small portions of Cabernet Franc. It helps the aromatics be a bit more lifted and it also delivers some acidity and herbal goodness.
Deep, hedonistic garnet, with an opaque core. Well extracted and rich.
High alcohol and perhaps somewhat apparent on the nose. Minty, with a pronounced chocolate nib, cardamom, tobacco, pomegranate, cassis, and plum.
The flavours are pure and complex. I always find wines from this area have a lot of mintiness and savouriness.
Replays of tobacco and pomegranate. After Eight chocolate, anise, and thyme. Cassis, cranberry, and bramble on the finish.
This would be a good pairing for beef wellington, or even a rather decadent match for exotic game, like moose.

Natalie's Review

Concha y Toro Don Melchor Cabernet Sauvignon 2013, Puente Alto, Chile: A dark, charred black-fruited wine with loads of toasty oak. Smooth texture and full-bodied weight. Aromas of dark fruit and just the right amount of oak. Pair with a rare steak. Drink: 2017-2025. 403980 14% XD 750 mL  $200.00 Score: 90/100. November 11, 2017 Top Rated Red Wine. There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
