With a flip name like Purple Cowboy, I was expecting a jammy, alcohol laden fruit bomb. What revealed in the glass was a much more sophisticated deep purple wine with black fruit, cassis, herbal (grassy and menthol) and floral notes on the nose. A big juicy wine with very soft tannins with a fruity, juicy finish. Great value for a Cali Cab.

This bold California red is showing lots of dark, ripe fruit flavors (plum, cherry, blueberry, blackberry) and licorice with a hint of vanilla, floral, leather and tobacco. Grapes are sourced from the Paso Robles area also known as "Cowboy Country". Enjoy with a hearty beef stew. Tasted November 2017.

Very berry fruit forward jammy blueberry, blackberry, licorice notes. A young bold juicy tannic wine with a chewy mouthfeel and lasting jammy blackberry minty flavours. Enjoy with spicy beef chilli con carne.

90/100 with the following review:
Crowd pleasing, concentrated and balanced. Juicy and deep, lip smacking ripe blackberry and ripe plum. So yummy, medium plus tannins, acidity and big jammy fruit. Pairs well with gourmet beef or chicken burgers, bbq chicken, beef stir fry, roast pork with balsamic reduction. Drinking well on its own as well. Good value. Tasted 2015 vintage in Nov 2017. 90 points. # BespokeTastings

Smoky, green pepper on the palette with lots of tannins. Could use a bit more time in cellar for wine to open up a bit more.

A Cali Cabernet Sauvignon presenting a pleasing garnet hue and offering aromas of ripe dark cherries, blackberry, hickory, and cedar. Soft tannins, moderate acidity and pleasing flavours of ripe cherry, dark chocolate and toasted oak greet the palate when you sip this full-bodied gem.

Med bodied red from California “Cowboy Country” - otherwise known as Paso Robles. Lots of bold red fruit with oak on the edge. Quite “Zin” like. Tannins could use a couple more years in the bottle. A shout out to their support for Breast Cancer research!
Colin McKone rated this wine as
91/100 with the following review:
As you could guess from the name, this is dark and purple in colour. It is teaming with aromas of cooked fruit, blackberries, dark chocolate, violet and light smoke. It is full bodied and well balanced with flavours of cooked red berries and chocolate. This will pair nicely with a big juicy steak and firm cheeses. Tasted on November 19, 2017.
Wineboy rated this wine as
92/100 with the following review:
Fruit dominated CS with a VERY subtle smoky note bearing a charred note. 13.5% on the label but feels much heavier than that. Lovely mouthfeel with a glycerine texture that reminds me of wine with a higher price tag.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as
90/100 with the following review:
Medium ruby colour with notes of dark skinned plum, dark chocolate, licorice, hint of tobacco, mint and cedar. Flavours of stewed red fruit, cooked cherries, ripe strawberry, vanilla and some floral notes as well. Rose petals and potpourri with smoke and sweet spice. Medium plus acidity, full body with medium plus finish. Off dry with a rich full finish, polished tannins. Pair with steak tartar and ginger beef stir fry. 90 points. Tasted November 2017

True to its name, this wine is a stunning garnet-purpley colour. On the nose there’s a big presence of dark fruit and green pepper. Licorice and cassis on the palate. This wine is dreamy!!!
