Aromas of cherry fruit plus some medicinal notes from being aged. I'm liking this wine today, but am unsure about it's potential to age further - Lots of cherry pie without the sweetness.

Presentation: Plain, simple, black-on-white label
Appearance: Pale ruby
Nose: Medium nose, with notes of red cherry, Concord grapes, and allspice
Taste: Dry, light body, low acidity, soft tannins, with notes sour cherries, cranberries and green, blackcurrant leaf
Finish: Medium sour red fruit
Overall impression: This wine is full-on red fruit. Its lightness means it would be good on the patio or with turkey, pork or other lighter fare

This Gamay Noir from the Grange Winery, Prince Edward County is a brilliant garnet red in the glass, aromas bursting with ripe red cherries and raspberries and some earthiness and black pepper following on the palate. A wine with personality and unexpected spiciness that hits your mouth mid-gulp.
Pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes, from Duck Confit to steak salad.

The winemaker used "seasoned" barrels for this vintage of Gamay Noir (18 months) which means there is very little oak imparted to the wine. It also allows the fruit to shine through - and shine it does. Complex aromas of sour cherry, raspberry and white pepper. Low tannins with medium body and a medium finish. This is a nicely balanced wine to pair with your pizza or charcuterie board.
