Just shy of 90 points for me. Still some pretty good juice, featuring lots of fresh and preserved citrus, green pea, citrus zest, unripe white stone fruit, cut green apple, pressed white and yellow flower, lanolin, and salted/grilled nuts. Citrus blossom emerges on the finish. 89 Points.

The Soave Classico region is known as the home for some of the best examples of Soave, with Pieorpan being considered amongst the few true champions of this wine style. A blend of two varieties (85% Garganega and 15% Verdicchio Bianco), Soave can all too often be bland and boring when overproduced, however, with this hand-harvested Pieropan Soave we find freshness, intensity and complexity – everything a Soave can be (and should be). Pale lemon in colour with fresh scents of peach, pear, green apple, beeswax, white flower, marzipan and a semblance of smoke (likely due to the volcanic soil it grows in). Aromas are mirrored on the palate with additional traces of nectarine and Meyer lemon. The clean finish is medium in length with notes of salty-minerality. Delicious, uplifting and a great apéritif to go along with Easter-themed canapés.

Tasted Nov. 11th, 2017. Colour pale gold and clear. Legs, medium minus suggests low alcohol. Aromas and flavours, green melon, saline, preserved lemon, chervil. Taste, dry, with lots of acid, very mouthwatering, light mouth feel, medium to low alcohol, light fruit of lemon and herb. Finishes with a saline lemon herb taste. I like this wine it is very different and distinctive. Can be refreshing. Waning, may cause you to drool. Try matching it with asparagus. I drank it with some almonds. Yes would be good with shellfish.

Inyricate aromas of pineapple, ripe pear, golden delicious apples, green olive brine and stoney minerals present. Flavours echo in the palate with the addition of white grapefruit pith and a touch of white pepper on the finish. Medium plus acidity, medium body and finish. Overall very quite nice. Find it a little more refined that the 2015 vintage. Dry, crisp and decadent. Pair with salty medium to light bodied cheese, charcuterie meats and smoked salmon.
90 points - Tasted October 2017
