Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This wine is gorgeously round, generous, soft and perfectly Sicilian. Nero d’Avola, loaded with ripe cherry, blueberry, warm spice, fresh herb, fresh tobacco, oyster mushroom, dried flowers (especially violet), and some cedar wood. So elegant. 92 points.
Stephen Andrews reviewed this wine as follows:

Tasted April 18, 2018 at wine club. Colour deep ruby red. Legs medium. Aromas and flavours of black cherry, plum sauce, licorice and tar. Taste extra dry, full bodied mouthfeel, dark fruit spicy pepper and a sweet Smokey finish. A little pricey, but a very nice dinner wine to be paired with gamy and meaty flavours. Beef stew, or a bacon burger type meat loaf with tomatoe sauce.
Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A personal favorite and a great expression of the Nero d'Avola grape hailing from Sicily - soft, ripe fruit and spice on the nose and palate, distinct minerality representative of the limestone soils signature of the area. I love this wine with homemade lasagna.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Quite an enveloping bouquet! Deep ruby colour with aromas of prune, floral Violet, Rose, barbeque sauce, and a hint of tar. Also some gamy, bloody and meat notes found here. Flavours consist of plums, licorice, stewed fruit, dark cherry and vanilla strawberries. Medium plus acidity body and tannin with a full finish. A touch of sweetness on the end with delicious soft and polished tannins. Pair with grilled tuna steaks, rich beef stew and shiitake mushroom with black lentils. Tasted October 2017 vintages release.
Melanie Lloyd rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This Nero d'Avola has dark berry aromas, dried prunes, underwood and sweet spice. It has cherry and blueberry flavours. This is a fuller bodied wine with structured tannins that are well incorporated with the acidity of the wine.

Would pair well with roasted beef, roasted lamb, or with meatballs.

Tasted October 2017
