Greg Hughes rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Delicious and refined brandy made on Oléron, a small island off the French coast near Rochefort. La Maison Augier is a small producer operating across the Champagne, Petit Champagne, and in the variety of areas classified as simple Bois Ordinaires (which is where Oléron is located).
This wine is made from a single varietal, Trebbiano Toscano (Ugni Blanc).
The colour is a moderately pale straw. The alcohol peaks at just over 40%.
The aromas are quote zesty. Lemon, pear, salted taffy, and charred wood.
Flavourwose, it is light and soft. There is still ample smokey woodsy notes, but it still has some nice light fruit to it, which still seem very white plum and citrus dominated.
It is pretty rare to see brandy made on the isle of Oléron. For that reason alone it grabs your attention. This is a great digestif and would be more than welcome with a lancero on a balcony, at sunset.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
